Saint George

Shawn and I just got back from Saint George! We went with Shawns dad Phil, Casey and Amy! It was really fun! We stayed in a condo over in the tuscan villas by the golf course, It was such a nice condo! It was decorated so cute! For the first day we were down there we went and hike dixie rock together...thats my favorite place ever! Everytime Shawn and I go to saint george we love to hike that together. Its so pretty up there!

After we went hiking we got home and went grocery shopping for our dinner! We decided to make pork chops, salmon, and home made mashed potatoes! mmmm it was so good, then we went laser tagging and i was so annoyed...there was some kid there that would seriously not leave me alone everytime i would go anywhere he would just follow me and shoot me so i totally lost! It made me so mad i wanted to kick him! It was super fun though all in all :)

We ended up leaving early and driving home in the middle of the night...it was so sad poor Oakley got really sick while we were gone :( Shawns sister Brittany was watching her and called us and said that she just wasnt feeling well...so we just thought she would get better until Britt called us and said that she had a fever of 104.7! It was so scary! So Britt took her into the after hours clinic for her and they didnt know what was wrong and had her take her to the ER to get some labs drawn...it was so sad! The next day i took her to the doctor and they gave her a shot of antibiotics and that kind of helped break her fever...so then we decided to put her on an antibiotic for a little while and now she is getting much better :)

New Family Addition!

We recently added a new fury addition to our family! Meet Snickers!

We got snickers from a family in alpine that had just had a baby and the baby was allergic to her! She is two years old and she is a Yorkie-Poo! She is such a good dog we were really suprised. She is already potty trained but doesnt know how to do any tricks yet so thats what we are busy working on right now. Oakley totally loves her! she loves to take all her toys and round them up so that she can bring them over to the dog. Its so funny because the dog with play with her for a while and then get tired and try to go lay down and Oaks will still try to keep bringing her the little doggy toys! I am so excited to have her and take her on runs with me in the summer and am happy that we got to add her to our little family!

Oakleys First Birthday!!!!

Oakie's first birthday was in October of 2009! So maybe this is not the greatest cake you have ever seen, although it was the first and the only cake i have ever made! I think i did a good job for the first time EVER! Her birthday was awesome! We had a party with all of our (and oakleys) friends and family, and Oakley got tons of presents! All of my family and Shawns family was there and a few of our friends. She was so excited to open all her presents and play with her toys, except she hated ruining the wrapping papper....haha it was so cute so was trying so hard to be careful with the paper so that it still looked pretty!

Our New House!

Recently me, Shawn and baby Oakley moved into a new house in Lehi! We like it alot, so far. Oakley has not only learned how to walk but how to run! She has grown up so fast I cant even believe it. She learned to walk at the end of the month she turned 10 months. Its so cute to see such a little doll walking around! She doesnt even look real.



When we moved into the house me and Shawn made a nursery together for Oakley, and it turned out so awesome! We painted all but one wall pink and put up some pink andrown dots on the walls to match the adorable bedset that we got her for her crib. Oakley loves it! Shawns mom, Kristen got Oakley a way cute growth chart to hang in her room so that we could record how tall she was getting and when so we put that in her room underneath her name OAKLEY in pink and green letters. I am so happy the way it turned out I love it!

OK, So pretty much all my friends have a blog and they look fun so i decided i would start one! Shawn and I are now living in Lehi..We like it alot there but it does get boring sometimes! Oakley is getting so big and has learned how to sit up and almost has crawling down! She knows how to crawl back words and she scoots around the house. Its quite a pain! Every time i look over at her she is some where new and getting into something she is not supposed to! She is so cute i cant believe how big she has gotten..Next thing i know i feel like I'm going to have to drop her off at junior high! I'm so glad that she is doing well....I cant wait until she is walking all around the house and yelling mommy.....daddy!

Oakleys First Dinner

So first off Oakleys doctor told me TWO MONTHS ago to start feeding her more solid food and that she would be able to eat baby food now. So, the day i got home from the doctor i was so excited to feed and made her some squash and some rice cereal and i was thrilled to give it to her! So i sit her down in her bumbo chair and put on her bib and i give her the first bite and she spits it right back out at me! i tried again...she still spit it right out at me. It was really frustrating the first time and then i just gave up. So i called her doctor and he said that little babies do that often until they are ready to eat. He said to just try it once a week until she actually eats the food. So, i tried EVERY week and she was still not eating it! She would spit it back out at me or she would make her guuuu noise and spit it all over me. It would make me so mad every time i would try! So two nights ago i decided to try again after giving up for a while.....so i made her a little bit of food and then i set her in her seat and low and behold....she ate it! She loved it! I fed her everything i made and had to make her some more! I was so happy. She looks so cute when she eats out of her little spoon. So now that i feed her every night the fun kind of wore off but it is still awesome to be able to have a family dinner and she can eat with us!

Shawns 21st Birthday

Shawn just had his 21st birthday! It was so much fun. We woke up and went hung out together for a while before going to lunch and they sung him happy birthday! It was so much fun...For his birthday we went to the jazz game! We went to gateway and walked around and shopped a couple hours before the game started. We also went to dinner with our friends and just hung out. The jazz game was fun because it was a playoff that the jazz actually won! It was a really fun night over all and I'm super glad that i got to spend it with him.
